What is Ciudad de las Ideas?
Ciudad de las Ideas means "City of Ideas" and is organized by Poder Cívico, an independent think tank committed to empowering citizens with innovative ideas. Our purpose is to provoke and open minds to new ideas, visions and understandings of our nature and environments.
Since our first festival in 2008 we return every autumn to the City of Puebla in Mexico to celebrate human creativity. Over 3000 ideastas join us annually for this mind-blowing event. RESET 11.11.11, this year's festival will take place at the Cultural Complex of the Benemérita Universidad Autónoma de Puebla from the 10th to the 12th of November.
Ciudad de las Ideas is a space where ideastas participate and interact in the festival. Our website is an interactive forum where you can share your ideas and discover those of others. We also broadcast the event and other off-season interviews by television so as to spread our ideas even further.

How and where can I buy tickets?
What does the ticket include?
Unlimited access to all conferences and artistic activities for the duration of the festival RESET 11.11.11
Why is pre-registration important?
Pre-registration avoids over-crowding and gives you your ID badge before the festival’s inauguration ceremony. It offers you peace of mind, speeds up your entrance (you won't have to queue), and you won't run the risk of missing the first talks!
Once you have received your ticket you will be able to look up the pre-registration dates and times on our website.
Where and how do I receive my entry pass?
You can pick it up during pre-registration, which will take place one day before the festival at the venue (Cultural Complex of the BUAP). Official announcements will be made published in our News section, by our Newsletter and and/or by email.
I’ve got my ticket but I can’t make it to pre-registration, what can I do?
Don’t worry! Just arrive on the first day and we will hand you your ID badge, entry pass and Ciudad de las Ideas kit at the registration area. Get there early as registration can easily over-crowd, and we don´t want you to miss the first talks!
Can I send someone else to pick up my entry pass?
No. Only you can pick up your pass from the pre-registration or the registration area. This avoids confusion when issuing tickets, especially as replacement tickets will not be possible in case of misunderstandings.
Are entry passes transferrable?
No. Entry passes and ID badges are personal and non-transferrable. You will also need to bring photo ID for access.
What do I have to do to attend the evening parties parties?
All you need is your ID Badge (so don't lose it!). Security at these events is very tight, and only festival goes will be able to attend. Ciudad de las Ideas hosts two evening parties on Friday the 10th and Saturday the 11th. We organize these parties so that you can approach the speakers and celebrate the end of a successful day with them!
What is the event’s dress code?
Whatever you want! But we're not fussy with formalities, so uniforms and formal dress will stand out. Best to go casual.
Where can I find accommodations?
Because of the festival's popularity, hotels on the date of the event are on high demand. We advise you to make your reservation at least on month in advance.
We have agreements with certain hotels in Puebla to offer our attendees special prices. To find out more about these hotels please refer to our Accommodations section.
