María Hanneman is a 14 year-old virtuosa Mexican pianist. She is a student of the National Conservatory of Music and the National Institute of Fine Arts and Literature. Since the age of six he has participated in different festivals both in Mexico and abroad, exhibiting in Monterrey, Jalisco, Villahermosa, Papantla and Morelia; and internationally in Peru, Costa Rica, Canada, Italy, Switzerland and the United States.
She won first place in the Grand Prize Virtuoso, an international competition summoning children and young musicians from more than 70 countries. The competition has been held for 20 years in Salzburg, Austria, aiming to discover new talents around the world and motivate them with various awards, including presentations in emblematic halls in Europe.Nicknamed “Little Mozart”, she attributes her success in this competition to the dedication and study that are part of her daily life, as well as her love for piano. She was invited to perform on the stage of the great concert hall of the Mozarteumin Salzburg.
Among the prizes he has won are the X International Piano Biennial in Mexicali, Contest and Russian Music Festival in Vancouver, Canada; first place in several editions of the Parnassós contest, first place in the Laredo International Piano Competition in Texas and third and second place at the BMTG International Piano Competition in New York.
