Isaac Hernández was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco, Mexico. He began his training at age 9 in his backyard, under the instruction of his father Teacher Héctor Hernández Valley.
He was a fellow of CONACULTA, INBA and FONCAM, and the American Ballet Theater in New York and The Rock School for Dance Education.
He was appointed Ambassador of Tourism for Mexico in 2008 and 2011 and has been a member of the American Ballet Theater II Company in New York, the San Francisco Ballet and the Dutch National Ballet as a principal dancer for 3 years.
He participated in the prestigious ballet stars tour in Europe, dancing on 5 continents, in the best scenarios of ballet world. In 2014, he danced at the closing ceremony’s Ballet Gala of the Olympics Games in Sochi, Russia. In February 2015 he became the first Mexican dancer to present the complete production of Don Quixote, as Principal dancer of the Russian Ballet Mariinsky Theater in St. Petersburg.
He is also a producer of the show Awakenings (Despertares), presented at the National Auditorium in Mexico City and founder of Soul Arts Productions as well as RELEVE A. C., a civil association that develops cultural programs with the highest standards for young people in unfavorable conditions.
