She is a psychology professor, and former chair of the School of Psychological Sciences and the dean of students at Tel Aviv University.
Lobel received her doctorate at Tel Aviv University and did her postdoctoral studies at Harvard University where she was also a visiting professor. She was also a visiting scholar at Tufts, University of California San Diego, New York University and Ochanomizu University in Tokyo. Her studies have been published in some of the top international academic journals.
Her book Sensation: the New Science of Physical Intelligence was released in 2014 by Atria (Simon & Schuster) and was sold in 15 countries and translated to many languages including Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Russian, Italian, German, Dutch, Danish and Hebrew.
