He is the Co-founder and President of Bitso, a company committed to developing efficient, competitive, accesible and inclusive financial services in Mexico. Daniel holds two degrees from Stanford (BA in Economics, BS in Computer Systems Engineering) and an MBA from Harvard Business School. Previously he built Quantcast’s Real Time Bidding system in Silicon Valley, which became the company’s main revenue-generating product-line.
After creating Bitso, Daniel Vogel attracted an important group of national and international investors to participate in the project, including risk capital funds like Variv Capital, Digital Currency Group and FundersClub, as well as Monex: a world-renowned financial institution. By the end of 2016, he had already closed a funding round of 2.5 million dollars. Bitso started its operations in 2014 and it is set out to bring the potential of cryptocurrencies to Mexico and Latin America, prioritizing security, transparency and best practice operations, while breaking new ground with innovative product development.
In November of 2016, Daniel was included in the MIT Technology Review´s “Innovators Under 35 Mexico 2016” Awards. He is also an Endeavor entrepreneur.
