Andrés Sarre

“One thing is to be a pianist and quite another to be, first and foremost, a musician.”

Andrés Sarre was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He completed his studies with Guillermo Salvador and Aurora Serratos. He has participated in various chamber music projects and presented numerous recitals in Spain, Italy, the Netherlands, Costa Rica and Brazil.

As vocal coach, he has been accompanist for Ave Producciones in titles like La Verbena de la Paloma, Luisa Fernanda and La Corte del Faraón. He participated in the Teatro Comunale of Bologna, as maestro collaboratore where he accompanied the master class figures such as Francisco Araiza, Ileana Cotrubas, Dolora Zajick, Giuseppe Sabbatini, Renata Scotto, Bruno Bartoletti, Renato Palumbo and Riccardo Frizza.

He earned a scholarship at the Conservatory of Madrid, where he studied with professors such as Álvarez Parejo, Julio Muñoz and Alicia Nafé, and the scholarship to study abroad from CONACULTA, with which he conducted an annual course for pianists in the city of Modena, Italy in CUBEC where professors Mirella Freni and Paola Molinari teach.

He created the Taller Lírico de Jalisco, playing piano works in Gianni Schicchi, La Boheme, The Telephone, The Old Maid and the Thief, I Puritani, L’elisir d’amore and Don Giovanni.
