Goldman School of Public Policy Emeritus Professor at the University of California in Berkley and member of the Public Management Research Association. His research field is policy and public management. Today, his research is focused on giving a better interagency collaboration in the provision of state services; for example, the implementation of the environmental legislation, fire prevention, and environmental preservation. Additionally, he maintains an interest in designing regulation and realization programs, especially in the areas of health, safety, consumer protection and equal opportunities.
Since 1973, Bardach has taught political analysis and he has highlighted his Eightfold Path Method, outlined in his book A Practical Guide for Policy Analysis: The Eightfold Path to More Effective Problem Solving, a key book and aforementioned among students of Public Administration and Public Policies. He has worked for the US Office of Policy Analysis and has also run high-level training programs for public managers.
